This Indenture dated 1631 was the fourth of a series of Indentures, the first being in 1625.

The tithes previously leased were purchased outright by way of an Indenture dated April 1631, which was confirmed by a Royal Charter in May 1631. In this subsequent Indenture dated October 1631, the tithes recently purchased outright were distributed evenly between Thomas Haigh and George Beamont. This Indenture is also genealogically significant in that it identifies Thomas's father, as Thomas Haighe of Mapplewell.

Later GB purchased these rights to the tithes from TH in stages. The final Indenture being in 1668.

The Indenture of 1659 is the one which refers to Robert Robucke and his wife Catherine Haige, the daughter of Thomas Haighe.

The following is a line by line transcript of the October 1631 Indenture.

There is a scan of this 1631 Indenture; well worth the short wait for it to dowmnload.
