The pretty hamlet of Fulstone was once
one of the main hill settlements of the Graveship of Holme, less
than one mile from Hollinhouse and less than two miles from Mearhouse
and Deershaw. It is not somewhere you would visit by accident
as it lies well away from the main roads, reached only by narrow
winding lanes with magnificent views to the West over Wooldale
and the Pennines. |
